Why you should have your carpets regularly cleaned
Most people assume that their carpet only needs to be cleaned if it is looking dirty, however most carpet manufacturers actually recommend that your carpet should be professionally cleaned every one to two years.
Dirt is very abrasive and every time you walk on your carpet, you are grinding more dirt into the fibres. Although you may not even be able to see it, this damages your carpet, causing it to wear more rapidly. A dirty carpet will not last anywhere near as long as a clean carpet. And while vacuuming helps it’s not enough to keep a carpet at its best. The longer you wait to have your carpet cleaned, the more damage you do and the faster it wears out.
Even when you think your carpet is clean, if you look more closely particularly if you move furniture, you suddenly realise just how much dirt has accumulated over time.
Additionally, the air itself contains nasty chemicals from pollens, bacteria, and other air pollution, that adds to the wear and tear. When you, your family and pets come into your home, you carry those pollutants on your clothes and in your hair and on your skin and shoes. All this grime ends up on and in your carpet. These pollutants can cause allergies, and breathing problems like asthma and emphysema
Regularly cleaning your carpet will get rid of these unwanted pollutants and will leave your carpet looking cleaner and fresher and make your home a healthier place to live.
